We got a call to rescue a badly injured mama street dog. Our rescuers found her standing by her puppies after she had recently defended them against an attack by another dog, according to the locals who had called our helpline. A large piece of flesh was hanging out from a puncture wound on her belly, and she had a deep laceration on her neck. We brought her back to Animal Aid’s hospital and immediately brought her in to surgery to repair her serious injuries.

We got a call to rescue a street dog who had wedged himself behind a motorbike to hide from the terrible pain he was in. He had maggots infested in a deep wound on his head and he was extremely stressed and confused from excruciating pain.
The maggots would have reached his brain within just a few hours, but thankfully someone called us in time and we were able to save his precious life.

We got a call on our helpline that an emaciated and sick street dog was lying in sewage in a gutter and couldn’t get out. We found him lying in the filthy water with flies swarming around his eyes. He was skeletal and so weak he seemed unaware and unable to react to his surroundings. We urgently brought him back to Animal Aid’s hospital and began our effort to stabilize him in hopes that he would recover.
After several months of care, meet beautiful Shyam today.

We got a call that a dog had just been hit by a train. We found him next to the tracks, his nose horribly cut, breathing with great difficulty and very disoriented. When we brought him back to Animal Aid’s hospital, our vet found that he had a collapsed lung which is a very life-threatening condition. We had to place a tube in his chest to allow his lung to expand and function normally again. We were able to suture up his badly injured nose and upper lip and stabilize him with fluids and other medications. With so many life-threatening conditions, we were so worried that we may not be able to save him despite our best efforts.
